Flomaton, AL Fire Station

  • October is Fire Prevention Month. The department gives lectures and hands on activities to all schools and preschools in the Town of Flomaton.

  • Smoke and fire alarms inspections and installations upon request.





 


Personnel

 

  • Fire & Rescue LogoFlomaton has one fire station covering approximately 5.3 square miles and is a combination department.

  • The department has 1 full-time firefighters and 21 volunteer firefighters.

  • The department runs a staffed engine, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Volunteers cover the night and weekend shifts.

  • The department has an ISO rating of 4/10 and all businesses and residences within 1000 feet of a fire hydrant receive an ISO rating of 4. This means that the property owner will pay a discounted rate for fire insurance. It's the responsibility of the owner to inform the insurance company of this rating.
